The mural paintings of the inside, some original and other duplicated, are a surprise because its style more Roman than Byzantine: their faces have expressions of intense emotions. The originals are in the Museu Nacional of Art of Catalunya and in the Museu Diocesà of Solsona. It is very popular the one that we call the Prayer because its antiquity and its line of mandala.

Very lively Romanesque pictures
Old parish church of Castellar de n´Hug, is a second church consecrated in 1106 by Ot, Urgell bishop, placed near Llobregat fountains, reminds of ancient ceremonies of fertility.
The original paintings are kept in the Museu Diocesà de Solsona and they were probably painted by the painter who painted Sant Llorenç and Pedret.
The copies that we can see are high quality. In the nave, inside a chapel there are the best Catalan pictures of Catalan lineal Gothic.
Placed among prairies and forests, the visit combines first level Romanesque memory and landscape, where you can breath and relate with nature and with the other people who come to visit it directly. Far away from everything, near intimate and intense experiences.
